I really wanted to hate this short manga series...on a couple of occassions, I've asked fellow manga-fans whether its wrong that I love Princess Ai. The story is written by three authors, one including Courtney Love, who isn't exactly as popular as she is famous, and I really did believe that this would be an incredibly weak story made just to make some extra bucks. Princess Ai is the best manga character anyone has ever come up with! She's beautiful, talented, and has a hot bf! This attracted my eye when I saw the recogizable english name of the author. I had to read it just to critisize. The plot was pretty much a fantasy version of the love story between Courtney Love and Kurt Cobaine, not the best writing. However the drawings and fashions were breathtaking, but that was in the hands of Ai Yazawa.

The artwork was gorgeous in this book!
I love the main character because she is really feisty and strong-willed.
Shame about Courtney Love though.

Beautiful art... fairly interesting storyline. All marred by Courtney Love's involvement.
