Perhaps the best thing about Christie plays is that they are short and quickly readable. Perhaps the worst thing about Christie plays is that they are almost inevitably the same, exact thing.
Granted, the most popular and prolific crime mystery writer of our time is simply borrowing from the Bard in regurgitating devices over and over and over again. But it's the hackneyed ways in which she does them that gives a reader pause (while an audience might find delight).

This book is a book with several stories within it. There are different types too. I didnt like several but there were some that i did like. I liked the very first mystery and the last one. 3 blind mice was my favorite though because i liked how the murders went along with the song. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes murder mysteries. i liked how it was many stories instead of just one because u got to follow different murders.

I recommend this book to anyone especially those who like mysteries. This book has a lot of short stories and keeps you entertained. The best story in this book is Three Blind Mice and keeps you thinking just like any other Agatha Christie book. This book is good for those who don't normally read mysteries. If you like this book I recommend And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express.

People who like Agatha Christie or anyone who likes mysteries
This is a collection of several of Agatha Christies short mystery stories. It is really good, and like all of her other books, they never fail to surprise you. The culprit is always a surprise, and if you like that sort of thing, then this is the author for you.
My favorite in this collection is Three Blind Mice- the 1st story. The culprit is extremely surprising, and I love that.

I read most of these short stories last summer, so they had lost some of their punch. it was more of an intellectual exercise, since "Three Blind Mice" is the story "The Mousetrap" (the Christie play I teach) is based on. The story is more logical, but that's because the play needed more drama.

I love Christie's shorts! (Wait.. no, not like THAT!) They're just fun little whodunits with broad, archetypal characterization. You know people JUST LIKE THAT... only of course nobody's ever REALLY like that. Sometimes funny, sometimes chilling, often heartwarming - and always fun.

A group of short stories by the mystery master. In the title story a murder takes place in a boarding house where several people have gathered during a snowstorm. After a policeman arrives, another murder occurs. I think the play The Mousetrap was based on this story.

Very suspenseful...I would love to watch this on stage! The little honeymooners sub-plot is a bit goofy, but so are newlyweds, I suppose.

Mystery fans.
The best of Agatha Christie! It always amazes me to think how blood-curdling and sadistic that little old lady's could writing could be.
