Read in March, 2004
This book had potential. But when it became clear that Andrew Neiderman had sunk entirely into the "pattern" that V. C. Andrews had tentatively set in motion - that he was afraid to try something new, and obviously shouldn't judging by this book - I put it down after finishing it, and have not bought another "V. C. Andrews" book since then.

Seriously. This guy has got to quit writing this crap. If he's going to continue writing it, he should use his own name. This more recent stuff bears no resemblance to Flowers in the Attic or Heaven, and probably has V. C. rolling in her grave.

This story differs greatly, to me, from other V C Andrews books. You'd never guess that the characters could come up w/ such a twisted mommy dearest formula to "love" thier children. I look forward to the next installment.
