""Milton's Secret: An Adventure of Discovery through Then, When, and the Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and Robert S. Friedman is an enlightening and practical parable to assist children in embracing the current moment when handling life's situations, and not to focus on the past or the future. The book reinforces Eckhart's writings and teachings throughout the book, and are shaped through Milton's experiences, including his cat fight, fearful dreams, bullying at school, and othe...more

Milton is an average kid. He enjoys eating ice cream and playing with Snuggles the cat. Then, something terrible happens at school, a bully threatens Milton. The boy becomes quite unhappy. Suddenly, all he can think about is that bully. Why did the bully choose Milton to pick on? What was going to happen the next time he met that bully?

A dream gives Milton the answer he really needs. It shows him that trying to change the past or predict the future is an exercise in futility. We onl...more

What a fabulous book! I really really really enjoyed the illustrations. They are so pure and beautiful. The illustrations engage both children and adults. I have to say that it is very refreshing to have a book that teachers our children to live in the "now". I think it's geared more for older kids just because the book is wordy and rather deep for a childrens book- but in a good way. This is a book that can grow w/you children. A great gift! It addresses bullies, fear, confusi...more

A true masterpiece targeted at children readers! Tolle makes it as simple as that, just read it through and you'll get it, that is if you do read it with your heart, not just with your brain. Brilliantly's illustrated too! Z

A decent story about bullying, but the solution is a little too religious or scientologist or something for my taste.

I read this book with my son which he loved and put in practice straight away. But to be honest ... children are already in the NOW naturally ... so it is more for adults or teenagers to read this beautiful book!

Wonderful book for kids who are being bullied. It may help them.

Milton is a young boy who has a wonderful life until he is targeted by a bully, Carter. He lives in a constant state of fear and is unable to sleep at night due to his dreams of being attacked by Carter again. It is not until he learns the secret and lets go of his fear, that Milton is able to return to the happy state that he had once known.

This book is a great way to introduce kids to the Power of Now, or the law of attraction. The illustrations compliment the story and most you...more

A great educational book for kids and adults alike. The only thing I don't like is the title which says nothing about the book itself. I thought it might be a bit esoteric for kids but my daughter likes it.

Oh, I loved this booked and the illustrator was phenominal. It's all about living in the NOW and how to overcome the bully in your life, not matter who it is....
