British procedural. Main character is a very pregnant cop who must solve a crime no one else appears to recognize as such. Excellent story; the main character is appealing, and even the "bad guys" evoke sympathy.

Mark Billingham fans in particular;crime fiction fans generally
A refreshingly different slant on the London crime scene. I have read five of Mark's seven Tom Thorne seriesand, IMHO, this is his best work yet. Highly recommended for all Thorne fans.
