I've read all of Michael Scott's novels and thought that I'd start on his other books as well. I'm not disappointed. While this one was merely compiled by him, it had to have taken many arduous hours of research to find exactly the right poems, proverbs and blessings for this wonderful compilation. The entire time I was reading it, I could hear my Irish mother in my head. Great little book.

This book is a charming collection of wit and wisdom that might surprise you with it's resonance. It surprised me, as I was expecting something trite and stereotypical, full of toasts and Guinness product placement. It is delightful in it's contents and small enough to slip into a pocket, should you like to keep a collection of aphorisms with you while about your business. Highly recommended!

A charming collection of wise sayings in a compact form. Many are ones you've heard before, but they all are worth repeating. Whether you read it one sitting, or just a saying or two a day, this is a book you will pick up time and again.
