A well-written series spanning four books shouldn't have been wrapped up so neatly at the end. It seemed as though Furey was rushing through the last few chapters -- the final battle with the Archmage and the confrontation with Eliseth -- as if she had too little time or too few pages to end with the same captivating detail as the rest of the story. It was too fast and weak, killing what should've been a fantastic read.
