This book is an enjoyable read, for music lovers as well as anyone wanting to read an interesting, compelling biography. I like the way the book is organized and formatted so that the reader can easily ...more

This is one of the best books about any jazz musician I have ever read - much was directly quoted from Sonny and it did a good job of telling the story of the artist and his unique development over a very long and exciting career that is still in full swing!
