A Christmas to Remember was a good light read while I was waiting for another book to arrive at the library. I haven't read any of the other books in Kinkade's series, so I was sometimes confused by the events and a few questions were left unanswered, which my mom has told me are answered in other books in the series. So if you've read the others, this book should be a nice filler.

This book has strong characters and a compelling story line. It jumps back and forth from present day to the 1950's which I really like. It was a hard one to put down, but the climax and resolution weren't quite what I'd hoped they would be and I felt like one of the characters storylines wasn't finished as far as it should have been. Some good life lessons though...overall a very good book.

“Of course, you think you love him. You're barely twenty-five years old. You're liable to think a lot of things." Lillian sat stiffly in her wheelchair, her gaze fixed on her granddaughter. "I thought you had some sense in that pretty head. Or you would at least, at some point, wake up and smell the coffee."
Sara crossed her arms over her chest. "I did wake up and smell the coffee. Just this morning. Luke makes wonderful coffee. He uses fresh beans."
Lillian made a sour face. "Please! Spare me the details of your honeymoon. Too much information, as the teenagers say."
Lillian appeared to have recovered her energy for arguing, despite her casts and the bruise around her eye that had turned an amazing shade of bluish purple.”
