A FINE LINE is the fifth and final book in the Baxter Series by Kathy Herman. After reading all five, I would have to say HIGH STAKES and A FINE LINE were my favorites. The last book in the Baxter series, "A Fine Line", concerns a killer from the mob who is looking for specific people who were placed in the witness protection program. Also, some false accusations were made against one of the pillars of the community, which causes family difficulties. Even though I didn't care for the plot of this book as much as some of the others, I will be sorry to say good bye to the people of Baxter.
