This book was a story about a young girl and how her and her family spend their holiday season by celebrating Kwanzaa. I really like reading about other cultures and the things that they do to celebrate the holiday season, it helps me to see that everyone is different. I think that children need to read books like this so that they can have a sense of diversity and have a respect for other cultures and peoples.
