Menyenangkan :)

For better for worse..
i know maybe it sounds classy but i do really like this sentence.
i mean for real. if many ppls divorce, it depends from themself, not because the swears that they did in the church.
okay, lets start what do i think about this story..
firstly i can say that this story is like drama in my country. like they passed each other but they dont look each other which is make me furious (gregetan tingkat tinggi!!)like the destiny mocking them.. errr..

My rating for this novel is just OK...
but i think it will become most favorite novel for someone who believe in love at the first sight..., who believe in miracle like something happened in the serendipity movie...
this novel is funny in almost the end of the story but i think it can't happened in the real life...,especially the "ducking" part..

After Josie found out her husband of five years, Damien, cheated on her she was done. She ended up going to a wedding overseas to New York City for her cousin Martha and soon to be husband, Jack. Martha was her mother's twin sister's daughter. On the plane ride over she met Matt Jarvis, who was going to NY to interview the rock band Headstrong. Once in America Josie and Matt climbed the Statue of Liberty and went sight seeing. They decided to meet up for dinner, but Matt stood her up. The next d

This book started out promising and was a whole lot of fun to read for the most part. Somewhere after the middle of it things began to get a little ridiculous with the whole comedy of errors and by the time Damian ran off to the airport with the duck I was over it. The premise is cute -- Josie, a divorced Londoner, heads across the pond to her cousin's wedding on Long Island. She meets a young man (also divorced) called Matt on the plane, they hit it off, promise to meet later, he forgets due to

This was great for a plane read. I read it on the way home from New Jersey to Denver on Friday night. Finished as we touched down :)
Talk about your star-crossed lovers! This reminded me a tiny bit of the movie Serendipity, but not as smooth :) I liked Josie a lot, but it does seem to be "standard-issue" for chick lit these days that the main character just has a LOT of problems! Damien I wanted to punch. Literally punch. I did like the fact that he got what he deserv More...

Hmmm this book is the worse Carole Matthews book I have read :(
What a shame because I love the author but the story line got so stupid towards the end I just lost total interest half way through!
Jodie is getting divorced and she flys off to new York to be a bridesmaid at her cousin marthas wedding.
She meets matt on the flight over they get on well meet up in ny but then he stand her up when they arrange to meet for dinner.
She has no clue that he's trying t More...

I had just pulled into the carpool line to pick up my son, when horror of horrors, I realized I had forgotten to bring anything to read along. So, I reached in back and decided to read whatever book I my hand first touched. This was it.
I can't say I was totally thrilled by it, but I did read it through to see where the author went with the story. My main problem with most of the chick lit that I have read (which isn't much) is the self indulgence of the characters. I've read better; More...

It was light, fluffy and funny..well, at least up to the middle of the book. After that, the story was getting not quite up to my taste. From the middle of the book, the center character was not only Josie alone but now also her cousin, Matt, and Damien. The story was now not only focused on Josie and her problematic life, but developed to describe about the problem around Matt and Holy, Martha and Jack, Martha and Glen, even Damien too. The worse part was on the climax of the story, when Damien

Bottom-feeder chicklit, both unrealistic and predictable. I could list all the ways this book annoyed me, but it's not even worth my time. I REALLY need to stop reading dollar books from thrift stores/the library and go back to reading fiction that doesn't perpetrate the stupidest, most sexist myths imaginable about love and marriage. Not to spoil anything, but there is a really lengthy sequence where the "bad" male marriage candidate has to muck around in the mud chasing a duck. I gue

well, my 1st chicklit actually , hehe
nope, not my literature . i mean 1st chicklit i've read . heheh
i think its pretty good, really .
nggak ngerti juga sih kalo masalah pernikahan dan tetek bengeknya , tapi pas baca sih ngalir aja kayak biasanya (maklum pembaca teenlit gitu).
well, ceritanya sendiri soal cewe bernama josie yang udah ngerasa gak percaya cinta stelah ditinggal selingkuh ama mantan suaminya (belom mantan sih, kan si Damien blom ttd di berkas cer More...

I absolutely loved it. There was something funny on literally every page. I wouldn't say that it was predictable because there were some incidents that I didn't see coming. However, I found the end to be kind of corny, but it was generally an enjoyable read. I even found it so coincidental that several Beatles songs appeared as soundtracks for various scenarios, because I just happen to be into them at the moment. The references made to the band in the story was cool, but the way John Lennon was t

This book was pretty much the epitome of light-hearted brain fluff. Which is pretty much perfect, as that's exactly what I was going for when I picked it up. It was cute, with plenty of twists and turns and near misses. Someone else compared it to the movie Serendipity, which is pretty apt, except that they sorted themselves out in a few days, instead of, like, 10 years. In any case, if you're looking for brain fluff, this is a pretty good choice for it.

The book was okay... was pretty good until you get to the Duck part and then it seems the writer goes a little out of her head--that part doesn't match anything else in the book. It's too bad that it's so close to the ending as well--because it kinda ruins it. And hello--what man would really let his wife who slept with another man on their wedding day, come back with no questions asked.... the guy seems like a pretty big loser to me and the situation does not seem realistic at all. I would d

Cute, although I hate stories where people claim to be "in love" after spending five hours together. There should be a required sequel where they actually get to know each other and go their separate ways.

A good summer fluff read that was light enough and not overly romantic or 'cutesy.' Didn't like it as well as other Carole Matthews' novels (I think "With or Without You" was a better story), but still held my attention. Pacing is pretty uneven, though.

This book had a different twist of a love story which actually kept me guessing until the last couple of chapters and many moments of girl power to make you enjoy it just that much more.

Chicklit emang menghibur banget buat dibaca :D walopun sempet depresi gara2 ini Josie dan Matt ga ketemu2 sampe akhir cerita, tapi seru lah XD endingnya romantis sih.. hehehe.

Wouah! Si toutes les histoires d'amour pouvaient se terminées comme celle-là!!! J'ai bien aimé la tournure des évènements lors du mariage, vraiment scandaleux à souhait!!!

I must be easy to please. Simple, predictable, humorous and an easy brain dead read. It could really be a movie on LMN and I would be happy to watch it.

It looked like a fun beach read, but was actually pretty lame...the main guy was a complete idiot and I wasn't so sure that he was a great prize to be chasing.

Total fluff, but still entertaining. The end was lame in all its cheesiness (too cheesy, even for me!), but the beginning & middle had lots of funny bits.

I wouldn't call it great or horrible, just middle ground. I picked it up on the sale rack, and it was a fun read...

Tipikal chicklit, menghibur, alurnya lancar, kalau difilmkan seru juga sih.

Every woman should read prior to the big day. Know who you are marrying.

I was recessing this book, because first 100 pages were like a reaaally long introduction. However, what happened next totally made up for that hard time. The book is entertaining and providing a good dose of British humour which I really enjoyed.
