Shelves: cookbooks
This is the best basic cookbook ever. Years and years after my mother gave me this book, which has been dropped in the sink, has burned pages, flour doused pages, etc., my husband and I both still reach for it when looking for recipes. It has wonderful basics and more complicated recipes with good directions that are easily followed. This is the cookbook every person should leave home with.
