A collection of Kapuściński's early reportages, the book shows what complex and inscrutable a figure he is: it includes works that give a glimpse of his talent that would later make him a reportage guru ("Wymarsz piątej kolumny"), but also remind us how avid he could be in following the line of the Party ("Uprowadzenie Elżbiety").
