Cute book, but nothing special. The author went a little overboard with the flight attendant lingo, as if she wanted the reader to be SURE they know that she was an insider and knows all the inside jokes and terminology. The story is your typical "twentysomething white girl has romantic crisis, set off on journey of self-discovery, meets guys along the way and eventually finds the right one while fulfilling all her dreams." I had to roll my eyes a bit at the fact that EVERY guy she mee...more

Fly Me To The Moon is a good humored uplifting book, that is a good light read. Hailey Lane finds out the hard way that her life was not as perfect as she thought, and we follow her on various expeditions in her life looking while trying to move on from her devastating break up. With so many fish in the sea, what can go wrong? But Hailey finds that he life is turned upside down and she is looking for a way to have the scales balanced. Various characters, lots of bitchy women. This story had me l...more

This book was okay. Some of the wording in it was way too similar to Alyson Noel's other book Cruel Summer. Fly Me to the Moon is about flight attendent Hailey Lane who, after coming home early and finding her boyfriend, Michael, doing something she'd never even considered, tries to get back on her feet and date other people. She soon learns that what she wants might be concealed within her and she doesn't know what it is. Hailey goes through several cases of heartache and pain after her brea...more

Recommends it for: Anyone that hates books
This was complete trash. So, whatever. Chicklit isn't supposed to be really deep, or believable, but come ON. The main character is a flight attendant who decides that she wants to get married. Surprise! Her pilot boyfriend is secretly gay. Who cares! She dumps him, they run into each other when they both go to the Carribean or Mexico or something (right) and he has another beard. Whatever. So she goes back home and just happens to have a fabulous friend who has a fabulous penthouse and is all j...more

This book has been on my to-read list for years, long before I ever heard of the Evermore series. After struggling through the last two books of said series, I was a bit hesitant to read this one, but I quite enjoyed it. It's pretty standard chick lit and more than a little predictable, but Hailey's journey to her final destination was pretty fun. I also learned way more about being a flight attendant than I ever expected to know in my life, which was quite interesting. Despite the over-the-top ...more

I thought the book was very enjoyable to read. It kept me interested the whole time to see what the main character was going to do next. It is more geared to a mature reading audience. I thought before reading it that it was going to be more teenage theme, however, after starting to read it I realized that it was more my age group. I would recommend it to readers who love romance, adventure and comedy.

I needed something light to read, and this book fulfilled that purpose. Nothing really stood out for me about it--it wasn't particularly witty, the characters weren't too developed, the plot was pretty predictable--but it was ok. I don't generally read "chick-lit" books and while this one didn't make me overly motivated to read more, it was still entertaining enough for what it was.

It's easy to read Alyson Noel, because she writes as though she were really talking to you. You will laugh and gasp at this book. She is clever and witty and knows how to spin a story. This story is a must read for any woman. It takes you into the career of a flight attendant, cleverly put together, and humorously walks you through her disastrous dating stories.

I thought this book was alright. It was funny in some parts, sweet in some parts. Quite honestly, I picked up this book because of the title. It's one of my favorite songs I just thought "I have to have this book!" I will give it this, though- although the book is fairly predictable in some ways, it has it's (good) surprises. I won't spoil the ending or anything, and you can obviously read the summary given, but it's a good read for when you're bored. I think that's why it took m...more

Just read a few other reviews of this book...maybe I didn't give it a fair shake after only 33 pages? Nah. Why on earth I EVER put this on mt TBR list I do not know. It was chick lit all right, the kind that gives that genre a bad name. Shallow, predictable, repetitive, boring. Imagine cutting that little red star up there in half...

I picked this book up at the library randomly just because it had a cute cover. I am so glad I did because I really enjoyed it. I hate flying, but it made being a flight attendant look like so much fun! Overall, it was a really enjoyable book and definitely a quick read. The only thing I would have liked to see is more of what became of Michael.

Better than average beach read, or in this case, stuck in bed with flu. Doesn't require many brain cells, its light & neatly wrapped up in the end. Like eating a whole box of organic chocolates, you only kinda feel guilty for devouring the whole thing. Defines the chick lit genre.

I would really say its about 3.5 stars. I am a little embarrassed, having read the book, that this is January's book for book group. Although I did enjoy the book and thought there were many funny parts, mostly sexual humor, in the book, there are many "oh my gosh did I really just read that" parts too. There were several times I thought to myself "is this really a young adult book". All in all it was a quick read (read it in a day) and turned out to have a very good ending. ...more

This book had some crude dialogue and a few crude sexual situations that I really could have done without. Honestly, I didn't find the story all that entertaining, but I'm glad it was a quick read.

Fun book to read...woman finds out her boyfriend is gay and bounces back by traveling--to bad being a flight attendant is over-rated..I think I would hate it but sounds fun.

VERY fun read. It's great insight into the world of airlines. The dating life of the main character is very realistic. Her best friends are a riot and way fun. The style of this book helped me in the editing of my own novel.

Very enjoyable book. Took me two days to finish. Eat Pray Love without the pray. I highly recommend if you're looking for chick-lit!

Good vacation book. The back story about being a flight attendant would have been a great story without the predictable romance.

This book dragged on and on... I don't know why I put myself through it all. It's a right yawn, don't bother.
