Daniel
This beautifully readable treatment presents all the aspects of Chesterton that fueled his detractors, his admirers, his lasting influence, and his decline into relative obscurity, without once forsaking the evident esteem and love harbored by Coren for his subject. It is honest but graceful, as was Gilbert; and it sheds a great light on Chesterton's works by revealing the noble strength and spirit of the fallible man who left them to us.
