Mark Vakkur was a classmate of mine at West Point. As plebes, we travelled together to our first Army Navy game in Philadelphia. Mark and I and two other plebes took the train from Penn Station in New York to 30th Street in Philadelphia. In the course of the next three years, three of us would be asked to leave West Point - for different reasons - academics, honor, and discipline.
