Japan is the second largest consumer market in the world and thus an essential market for overseas retail expansion. This book provides an excellent starting point for companies making an initial consideration of the Japanese market, and acts as a reference and learning resource for those already operating there.

Matthew
Dry and report-like but definitely educational. Seems to me the retailers are weakening because brands are coming back and asserting control over the distribution -- in the consumer world, perhaps, he who controls distribution and has best access and response time to the customer, is he who wins.
