The A-list bites.

Life couldn't be better for Jason Freeman. He knows all about the vampires in DeVere Heights; he'd almost been killed because of them -- twice. But Jason is over all that. The end of senior year is approaching, and he's totally, insanely in love with Sienna Devereux, the most "jolie" vampire of them all.

While Sienna's parents are dead-set against the relat

Jason Freeman is not what you would call an average teenager who lives in California. Fortunately for Jason, this all proved to not be a challenge since not only was he able to survive the vampires, he was able to survive the social ladder of the high school world, all in one shot. Now, with Brad's approval, Jason is finally able to date Sienna, the first and only girl he had a crush on since he moved to DeVere Heights. Their relationship couldn't get any better; that is, until Sienna's parents ...more

Jason Freeman is not what you would call an average teenager who lives in California. Unless, to you, battling the evil vampires, only to win and be secretly honored, befriending the good ones, trying to save his friend from the world of vampires, falling in love with his best vampire friend's girlfriend, and trying to keep this all a secret, is normal.

Fortunately for Jason, this all proved to not be a challenge since not only
I picked this up during my YA vampire binge (which I began for a class paper). Basically, I was intrigued by the fact that it's narrated by a male character which--someone correct me if I'm wrong--I believe is relatively rare (Peeps notwithstanding). Also, the set up--French vampire in-crowd = high school vampires / human-vampire romance poo-pahed by vampire parents--sounded pretty gleeful and campy. And honestly, it is. It just isn't really about vampires--at least, doesn't seem to be by the 5t ...more
Legacy by Alex Duval is the fourth book of the Vampire Beach series. In the book, the protagonist, Jason Freeman, has to make a tough decision between whether or not he is going to transform into a vampire and be with his girlfriend, Sienna Devereux (who is a vampire) or let Sienna move away to somewhere across seas and break up with him. Since vampire and humans do not belong to another, Sienna was forced by her parents and the “high council of vampires” to break up with Jason although they bot ...more
Now that's what I'm talking about. The romance builds, then drops, the builds again (as it supposed to). The action is exciting with intrigue, expionage, family problems, etc. Jason has it coming from all sides.

I love his Aunt Bianca. I'm sad about her condition, but it's needed for Jason's benefit. I'm also both sad and happy over Dani, but it would be weird if they both.. well... ;)

I didn't find any strange foods in this one, unless you count the lemons for the hair or the ten-alarm chili

I'm not sure why I assumed this was the last book...probably because I bought the newly published versions and didn't know there were two more! Even better! In this book, Jason is tested to his max and of course overcomes all odds to be with his true love, the vampire Sienna. In this book, Dani also gets a bigger role when she decides to start dating a vampire as well, described as the "golden retriever" of vampires Ryan Patrick. Everything is going well until Sienna and Jason are forbidden from ...more

Jason is still in love with Sienna, one of the vampires of Malibu. Sienna's parent has forbid her to see him because they did not want Sienna to transform Jason into a vampire because it could be very dangerous. He uses a machine and figure out that his aunt was one of the victims of a unsuccessful transformation. slowly, her mind pushes her into insanity.
I thought this book was a very interesting, like the other books in the series. i am a fan of these books that relates to the real world and t
Okay, so i thought this was the last book but i found out there are more n im super excited to read the rest. if this was the last one id be really satisfied , jason finds out he can turn into a vampire without dieing or slowly going insane like aunt bianca is, n now he's free to be with sienna , he doesnt turn into a vampire at the end, cuz him and sienna r taking it slow, but they practically have her parents ( who r agaisnt the relationship )black mailed because they know its safe to turn jas ...more
It is very unfortunate to fall in love with a vampire because you have to overcome many difficulties. Jason falls in love with a vampire named Sienna. There is a chance for him to transform to a vampire. But there are so many thing that he has to consider. First of all, it si really hard to make a choice between the girl he loves and his family. Once he transforms to a vampire, the relationship betwwen he and his parents would be different. He can't tell them the truth, he has to lie to them. Fu ...more

This is a really good book.

There really isn't much to say about this book because a lot of stuff didnt happen. Jason found out that sienna cannot be with him because her parents don't was her with a non vampire. So those to are sneaking around but sienna parents threaten to move her to France of they catch her with him

Jason's aunt suggests he turns into a vampire so he can be with sienna. Jason doesn't no but his aunt threaten to tell if he didn't

I loved the way that Duval captures your imagination and holds it till the very end of the book. It’s a gripping love story with a lot of wit and humor along the way. I love how even though Jason and Sienna is in love with each other they ad to go through so many obstacles to be together. And that made the story more interesting. This is what set this series apart from the rest. You just don’t get the simple happily ever after. It’s a fantastic YA fiction and for those who enjoy a quick read.

The book was definitely well done, events are clear as they happened.A definite page-turner.I myself was shaking/trembling in two particular events, which I will not reveal. The romance between Jason and Sienna was definitely interesting, not to mention the "happy ending",I encourage reading this book if you are downed or depressed,

If you truly desire something, you must think and work towards it,no matter what may obstacles you may stumble upon.
This has to be my favourite in the series so far.

I love how Jason and Sienna finally become official and all the trouble they go through to stay together. Adam is a wonderful charactera and I adore his witty humour! Another great Y/A Read! I can't wait to read the next 2 installments!

Again, another quick read in the Vampire Beach series. I really like how the story is going but unfortunately, its hard to review without spilling the just take my word for it. If you are looking for a fun vampire read this is it!
I love the book because it was about love but the two lovers can't be together because of one's parents. But they have to go though hardship to be together and knowing no one can come and make them leave each other again.
A boring end to a boring series. There was never anything that hooked me here, and it's not something I would ever want to re-read or suggest to someone else. Honestly, it wasn't even worth reading once.

Vampires continue to rock malibu beach in true vampire-ness ways. They're very cool, very witty, very high school too.

This was an interesting series. I found that it was like the O.C with vampires. A good read.
Good book. Story flows well. Great characters. Keep in mind it's a short YA book.

“Should we take my car or yours to the marina?" Sienna asked.
"yours definitely" jason answered.
"you know the spider is temperamental" Sienna warned. "we could end up breaking down."
"thats what im hoping for,"Jason confessed "nothing betterthan breaking down with you, and getting stuck somewhere." he leaned close and whispered in her ear. "all alone."
Sienna gave him that slow, sexy smile of hers and grabbed his hand. "my car it is.”
