I liked this book a lot and thought it provided insight regarding matrimonial "tradition" and the responsibilty to the family "appearance". This book is entertaining, interesting and well written. I am enjoying it very much indeed.
I would recommend it to anyone interested in other cultures and particularly women's roles in other cultures. It is a delightful read, the author is very funny and the characters very believable, it is easy to identify with and become attached to them.

Between her dark skin, head-strong nature and biting tongue, Jeeta's marriage prospects are looking bad. Her mom doesn't understand why she can't be more like her older sisters who have married well. But Jeeta has her own plans, especially when she meets Neel.

Set in India. I liked the teen protagonist, mainly bc she thinks for herself, acts for herself, and is interested in seeing how other people live and act.
