This book takes you through the imagination of Lori R. Lopez in the best of ways. Every story in this book leaves you wanting more and when you finish it you feel a satisfaction in you mind like no other. So many of the stories hold the emotions of this brilliant writer and you can actually feel what the characters feel and see through their eyes. The pictures that these stories paint in your mind are like no other. If you like short story books then this one is for you!!!

A great read! An odious scary tale begins your journey; attacks by ear-demons! Then a walk in the desert followed by a walk inside the author's head and wind up arguing with yourself! Quirky, supernatural, mad, funny, scary...each tale has its own characters and all of them are Ms Lopez!

Seriously, and she can be serious, this author writes a range of genres including Horror and Fantasy (sometimes a bit dark, usually humorous). While her primary focus is on novels and short stories, one of her many projects is an autobiographical book series about her life which features themes of abuse, family, and following dreams.

She is the winner of the ViNoWriMo 2011 Award from Vicious Writers for her novel AN ILL WIND BLOWS. Other titles include THE MACABRE MIND OF LORI R. LOPEZ: THIRTEEN TORMENTOUS TALES; CHOCOLATE-COVERED EYES, a horror sampler; a collection of strange tales, OUT-OF-MIND EXPERIENCES; a volume of verse, song lyrics and prose called POETIC REFLECTIONS: KEEP THE HEART OF A CHILD; and a Horror-Fantasy novel, DANCE OF THE CHUPACABRAS (Tome One of THE TOME TRILOGY OF TRILOGIES).

Her stories and verse appear in anthologies such as MIRAGES: TALES FROM AUTHORS OF THE MACABRE, MASTERS OF HORROR: DAMNED IF YOU DON'T, I BELIEVE IN WEREWOLVES, SOUP OF SOULS, THIRSTY ARE THE DAMNED, THE EPOCALYPSE: EMAILS AT THE END, DEADICATION, and magazines (THE BLACK GLOVE; THE HORROR ZINE ISSUE "GHOSTS AND HAUNTS"; WOMEN EMPOWERMENT). Fifteen of Lori's poems were published for an anthology titled IN DARKNESS WE PLAY (Triskaideka Books). Featured by THE BLACK GLOVE MAGAZINE, CUP OF STARS: WOMEN IN HORROR, BLOODY GOOD VAMPIRES, HOT BOOKS DAILY and more, Lori is a renegade indie author who believes creative writing should not be standardized or conventional. She and her sons are establishing an entertainment website for their many creative pursuits at www.trilllogicinnoventions.com, where Lori also writes a passionate often-humorous column called "Poetic Reflections".

She is a wildlife-eco-warrior and an advocate against Abuse through her prose, poetry, and song lyrics. An artist, she designs her own book covers.
