This book would more accurately be titled "The Believer's Life". This is a compilation of short essays from Murray on the Christian life. There is a prominent theme of prayer but it is much broader than this. It is a GREAT work but for the primary topics of abiding in Christ and being intentional in prayer, more recent works are more comprehensive and flow better; the one page chapter style is not my favorite.

The message of this book was excellent and necessary. The reason I rated it so low was the repetitive way it was presented.
