Guns N' Roses was named "The most dangerous band in the world". They were Axl Rose, Slash, Duff, Izzy, and Steven, 5 bad boys from Hollywood. Axl and Izzy were high school buddies in Indiana, whereas Slash and Steven played bike and skateboard together.

They used to play small gigs in many clubs in LA: Troubadour, Whisky A Go-Go, Roxy, and the likes, they became crowds' favorite.
Paul Stanley of Kiss was interested to produce their album, but the guys declined. Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue was offere

Urgh. Don't even bother. Poorly written, weirdly arranged, and full of spelling errors. Even the photos are crappy.
A good history of G'N'R's rise, but very Axl-focused, and totally glosses over the "break up" of Guns. The author has the annoying habit of jumping around chronologically, so I kept waiting for a chapter about Slash's departure and it never came, it just jumps from the end of the Use Your Illusion tour in 92/93 to "where are they now" with surprisingly little information or even conjecture about what actually happened (which was the whole reason I wanted to read this book).

Axl - intense energy!
Couldn't you manage to leave that pain in the past? Anyway, anger makes you sexy... but lonely...

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Having the love i have for Guns N' Roses, i enjoyed every moment spent with this book in my hands. Every fan needs to read it.
Lame. I could read this on wikipedia. That said, love the cover picture!
