As much as I enjoyed Dangerous Games, I think I enjoyed this one a bit more. It was a little more solid on the suspense side of things, but still fairly hot - though maybe not as erotic as Dangerous Games (which is a little disappointing).
Emily was a great heroine to read. I really enjoyed her a lot. She's got this innocent, naive sheen to her, but underneath, she's a total bad-ass. That amused me to no end. I loved all her antics, and the fact that sh...more

He is also secretly hopes she will fall in love with one of them, so he can basically marry her off and not have to worry about her any more. However, she is not cooperating. She’s been in love with Kel...more
Wow! I would have to say this one might be the most erotic book in the series so far. Super steamy sex scenes and I just love Kell's Cajun accent that comes out at just the right times ;)

~AWESOME BEGINNING AND ENDING MAKE UP FOR AN OKAY STORY~
HIDDEN AGENDAS is part of Lora Leigh's Tempting Seals/Elite Ops series which I am a huge fan of. As Usual Lora Leigh's bedroom scenes are some of the hottest you'll read and wow can she write a delicious alpha-male hero. Her descriptions of these muscular, testosterone filled, bulge in the jeans men are yummy. For some reason though this book just never really caught my attention. Hidden Agendas by Lora Leigh is the fourth book in her Tempting SEALs series.
Although I know there are more stories in this series, I've only read the two full length novels so far and I've truly enjoyed each one!
The latest, Hidden Agendas, picks up where the last, (Dangerous Games), left off. We see early on that the big bad on the scene, Diego Fuentes, is manipulating things so that he can control one man ... the son that he never knew existed.

My Review:
It's official. I am completely and totally hooked on this series. I LOVED this book!
Emily is a complete riot. I loved her "research" and the fact that she has a hidden wild and adventurous side. I loved that Kell let her embrace that and saw that as a strength in her, not a weakness. The opening scene for this book between the two of them is priceless...completely fresh and HOT!

I'm a big fan of the Breeds series from Lora Leigh so I decided to branch out and read some of her other books. Hidden Agendas is part of her Tempting SEALS series, and while this book had all the spice and sizzle of her Breeds books, I just didn't connect with this book as much as I thought I would.

#4 Tempting SEALS - Romantic Suspense
Kell Kreiger & Emily Stanton
I like Kell, especially when he lapsed into Cajun-speak (French?).
The suspense/action part of the book picked up the pace toward the end of the book. Lots of sex before that. The cliffhanger ending promises surprises, suspense and lots of action in #5 Killer Secrets.

Interesting tale of a senator's daughter (Emily Stanton) struggling to free herself from her father's understandable overprotectiveness following her kidnapping. The latest in her series of bodyguards is the SEAL Kell Krieger who has patiently waited for Emily to grow up before giving in to his feelings for her. He strives to protect her from the threat of recapture by her former kidnappers while attempting to discover the traitor amongst the SEAL team whose charge is to protect both the senat...more
Put on fan on or have a glass of ice cold water on stand by when you read this. I'm not sure what the lure is but strong alpha males submitting to wanton female totally gets me going. Kell and Emily have grown up together but it has been years since he's really talked to her. The last time she was so drugged she couldn't quite remember what was happening. Emily is constantly surround by bodyguards that her dad chooses for her...well in comes Kell (no pun intended) and Emily chooses him. She...more

I had read Dangerous Games and didn't care for it. But I decided to give Lora Leigh another chance and I'm glad I did. I liked this one and may just check out more of the series now.

Navy Seal Kell Krieger has been biding his time, keeping a safe distance to his one weakness, Emily Stanton. Kell rescued Emily when she had been kidnapped by Diego Fuentes and fed a lethal drug, years later she has grown into a strong beautiful woman who has a knack for "researching" the unsual that would be deemed unsuitable for a Senator's daughter.

Hated the hero. What a jerk. And the author kept describing his attitude/etc by using 'male' as some sort of adjective, that drove me insane, 'He had a look of male confidence.' Okay, as opposed to what? Female confidence? And the d-bag was obsessing about getting some, and NO he was not going to 'let this vixen into his poor damaged heart (internal dialogue I am paraphrasing).' Blah, blah, blah. It was kind of sick how much he wanted to control the heroine, and have her bend to his will. I lite...more
The most striking thing about Leigh's writing is that she does erotica very well. The language is explicit, which might be a deal breaker for some readers, but the sensuality and lust she captures is very sexy and will leave many a reader pining for the male lead.
Perhaps the biggest drawback for me in the book was the sensation that the plot was just laid over top because the book was supposed to have one. It felt shoe-horned in and I had a hard time buying its believability. The othe...more

Holy Moly...This is one of my favourites in the series so far.Kell is just incredible. He is alpha and dominant in the best possible way and not irritatingly arrogant.I loved his accent and the things he said in the heat of passion left me all tingley. He has a very sad back story which makes you just want to love him!

The thing is if you like S.E.X and lots and lots of it, then this is the book for you.
I'm a Leigh fan, but I've found that I enjoy her books more when there's an actual plot attached. Taming the Beast and Elizabeth's Wolf - Leigh at the top of her game.
In Hidden Agendas, however, Leigh would have you think this book is about keeping our heroine from the clutches of her Senator father's enemies. I'm here to assure you that it is NOT.

Being stubborn, er, persistent does pay off and I'm glad I didn't give up on this series after the craptastic Reno's Chance (in Honk If You Love Real Men Four Tales of Erotic Romance) and the disastrous Dangerous Games. For Maggie's Sake (in Real Men Do It Better) was pretty good, but it was "just" a novella and so loosely connected to the series that I wasn't completely sold... until now. Yup, Hidden Agendas has finally made my previous suffering worthwile, LOL.

I have not read the novella stories in the Tempting SEALs series and tend to regard Hidden Agendas as Book 2 because it's the second of the full-length installment, after Dangerous Games.
HA was much, much better than DG, without the annoying erotica accouterment that was just for show in the earlier book. Hidden Agendas focused on the plot, the characters and is a must-read-first if you're thinking of reading the third book, Killer Secrets.

This was another sizzling book from Lora Leigh. It is a passionate story that is about a strong woman and her fight for freedom and independence. It is also the story of co-operation and how that can make a strong person even stronger. There is a running theme in this series about loyalty and how it can make people do things they ordinarily wouldn't to protect those they care about. All in all this is a hot read.
Suka, alur ceritanya bagus, Kell (heronya) baik banget ngk type bad boy, coba aja kalo type bad boy gitu pasti udh 5 stars deh, nah loh?? iya bad boy insap maksudnya hehe, di akhir cerita baru ngeh ni serial ada hubungannya sama serial Elite-ops, Nathan Mallone (wild card) muncul disini..wah jadi mau lanjut terus ni sama serial ini ...penasaran.com sekali lagi bener2 serial yang kalo ibarat masakan ni...sambalado dari cabe brastagi..*wink2 kepedesan
Most well-developed of her books that I've read, and seeing as it was the first and appealed to the Frat Boy in me, I suppose its why I tried reading some of her others. But after doing so, this was the best of the bunch. A solid bit of suspense, with an overbearing Seal of a hero, but not as obnoxious as let's say, Micah, but with a little Cajun thrown in and some long held feelings and sexual healing.
For what it is, it worked.
For what it is, it worked.
This was not one of my favorite Lora Leigh books. I had a hard time with how quickly the hero and heroine became so intense about each other. However as always, I loved her alpha hero, and I found my way breezing through the final few chapters. Just because this wasn't my favorite doesn't mean I won't read the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed this one. It had all of my favorite elements of a good romance - no trust issues, good relationship building, lots of dialogue, lots of steam, great characters and interesting plot. I wish she would write all of her books like this one! This book is one of the reasons she is one of my favorite authors.
I was totally torn between 2 and 3 stars on this book. Will I read the next installment - it's likely, but primarily because I need to know how the story/series ends. If I was reviewing this series for Not So Humble Opinions - everyone should know that it would receive the highest heart rating available - they are racy - and not something to be left laying around.
What can I say... ooh that Kell is really a HOT Cajun! Loved when his accent came out when he was passionate. The book was hot. And I really liked Emily. She is a strong women. I really love the story line of this series. Sometimes, for me, it gets confusing with the drug cartel. But Lora Leigh did deliver, wasn't disappointed.
I am very disappointed in this book so far. I just don't like the main female character and the love story not believable. The male character is ok but you just don't know why he loves this female so much when she is so annoying! Why did he wait so long until she was 28? OH MY GOD a 28 year old virgin who's fat or, "pudgy" as the author put it, and learning how to do lap dances. It just has been hard to even read this. I may not finish it. I loved the first two books of this seri...more

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora’s family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in ...more
