No Babysitters Allowed
Hopscotch is a very brave bunny—except when his parents go out and Mrs. Honeybunch comes to stay. She wants to play, but Hopscotch would much rather be alone in his special NO BABYSITTERS ALLOWED fort . . . that is, until he hears Mrs. Honeybunch reading his books all wrong. But explaining the right way to tell the stories would mean leaving his fort, and Hopscotch is

Hopscotch is having a tummy ache because he is worried about being left alone with the babysitter. At the begginning, they dont get along and Hopscotch wants to be left alone and towards the end, they start to warm up to each other and get along great. I loved this book. I think it would be great to use in Pre-school and Kindergarten because it is about seperation issues and those happen a lot to children during those ages. This story was easy for me to relate to because I experienced that a...more

Although this book touched on a realistic situation, I think it can be considered fantasy because it involves talking animals. I think this book would be great for preschool or kindergarten. It touches on a topic many kids are familiar with---being left with a babysitter.
The rabbits are cute, the story is sweet. The babysitter is wise, and Hopscotch learns that he is in good hands while his parents are away. A great story to share with a little one nervous about having a babysitter, especially at bedtime. (Reassuring for parents, too!)
The little rabbit is worried about his parents leaving for the evening ... as Mrs. Honeybunch, the babysitter, is coming over.
Very cute the way she manages to win Hopscotch over. Not sure the kids would get it but in the end it doesn't matter. Everyone's happy!

Hopscotch's parents go out to dinner adn Mrs Honeybunch comes to babysit. He is nervous and wants to be alone, but eventurally he comes out of his hiding place when Mrs. Honeybunch reads his bedtime story wrong. Cute. (Other Hopscotch titles available)

Cute story about a little bunny who doesn't like his babysitter at first, but she wins him over eventually.
Cute story and good for parents to read with little ones who don't want to be with babysitters.
Cute and comforting story with nice illustrations. When my seven-year-old granddaughter Sarah and I read it aloud, she gave the book five stars.
Very fun. I could definitely relate to both Hopscotch and the babysitter.
Very cute!

I liked this book. It will show children that babysitters aren't as bad as they think they are. The pictures in the book are very good.
Cute pictures add alot to this clever take on a familiar childhood fear.
For very young PreK. Nice big pictures for storytime.
bunnies, babysitters, fear, possible storytime
