Duo Brand were a big hit in doujinshi (fan art) circles long before they got recruited to publish manga professionally. This was their first attempt at a major series. Lots of fun, with the best element being the bad guys with the wicked-cool weapons.
an unholy mix of shonen and shojo with bl character design. like a lot of complex fantasy stories, it's sluggish in starting, so i'll give it the benefit of the doubt for this first volume.
