Do the last 3 paragraphs say it all?

"It all runs amok. Each man killing his greatest dream, partly out of fear, partly because he feels it in his bones that he must before it kills him.

Everywhere half-fulfilled dreams are plundered for what they've got, no-one expects them to go full term. Eat what we can before the worms get at it. Even tiny sparks we put out with our slobbering spittle salivating over the tinder.

Face it! Your mind's smashed in! Your hopes?-Ripped off! You were squeezed out

Joel Biroco is a writer, painter and occultist. He lives in London, England. His paintings, which are mostly abstract, come out of a long interest in the I Ching, Taoism, Zen, and the occult. Under his birth name of S J Marshall he wrote the book The Mandate of Heaven: Hidden History in the I Ching (Columbia University Press, 2001).
