John Clifford Green has earned a B.A. degree from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. He is a scholar, researcher, and director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at the University of Akron in Ohio. He is also a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Akron. His area of research is religion and politics in the U.S.
