I finished this book in a day, it's very well written and the last part was so thrilling I couldn't put it away.
Even though it is not his best book, he creates a beautifully chilling atmosphere and the description of Cravenmoore is dream-like. The story is a bit predictable, to me it seemed like a fairy-tale-like novel. If you need a pageturner thats not too thick this book isn't a bad choice =)

Lo leí después de La Sombra del Viento. Por supuesto que es una historia menos compleja, pero no deja de ser un excelente libro. Dirigido a lectores jóvenes, pero que puede ser disfrutado también por adultos.

Típica novelita de C. R. Zafón con sus tonos cursis y de misterio para adolescentes en un ambiente romántico de preguerra mundial.
De fácil lectura se pasa un rato ameno con la misma.

Irgendwo hab ich mal gelesen, dies sei ein Buch für Kinder... Okay, wenn ich an mich als Kind denke, dann hätte ich nach dem atemlosen Verschlingen dieser fantastischen Geschichte sicherlich eine schlaflose Nacht oder zumindest unruhige Träume gehabt!
Tolle, fantasiereiche Story, gut geschrieben und vor allen Dinge dermaßen spannend und mit furiosem Finale, dass man das Buch wirklich erst dann wieder aus der Hand legt, wenn man die letzte Seite hinter sich gelassen hat...

Con este sólo me queda por leerme 1 libro de este autor, que es uno de mis favoritos. El libro está muy bien, pero mis favoritos siguen siendo Marina y La sombra del viento. De todas maneras os lo recomiendo. Se nota un montón que está escrito por él, porque tiene un estilo muy particular.
