Holy cow, this book blew my mind! First of all -- toy stores?? These really exist?! They have balls and hula hoops and dinosaurs and teddy bears and everything a man could want?!? AWESOME! Let's go there!

Second, George is an awesome monkey. He knows what he wants, he doesn't let anyone stand in his way, and he wins at the end, every time. I love him. I want a pet monkey.

George goes to the grand opening of a toy store, makes a mess, and makes the owner angry. Eventually the owner likes George when he helps children reach some toys and a father compliments the owner on having a monkey help her in the store. This is a fun story to show how we can make a positive out of any negative!

George visits a toy store where he makes a mess. He then helps children to get toys off the top of the shelf. The store owner wants him to clean up the mess. The children find George very helpful so the owner of the toy store has George become an assistant.

All these new Curious George books are very formulaic and much shorter than the originals. I still like George in general, though. (Ill give this one 2 1/2 stars, just because I like George.)

Who doesn't love Curious George? As with any Curious George book, children will love reading or listening to this fun story about a curious, active monkey in a new toy store!
Brendan
One of the better Curious George stories. Fun to read with your child as George ends up helping the toy store by assisting parents and children find the toys they want.

I have read this book about 10 times now. Caleb really loves Curious George and this book has just the right amount of dialogue to keep him interested, yet not too much that he gets bored.
