Experimental SF sometimes works-and sometimes when it is 30 or more years old it dates very quickly. This is an iconic collection-one of three assembled by Harlan Ellison. The third, has never been published which is apparently a sensitive issue for Ellison, who can be thin skinned. As he is currently unwell and no longer young, I wonder if the Third Dangerous Visions will be published-and whether my comments when applied, will lead to this collection becoming obsolete before ever published. Working my way through this. Ellison is a legendary troll and an asshole but he's also an entertaining writer and a good curator of high quality, strange science fiction.
