Bailed after 20 pages. I was curious about the author after her name came up several times in discussions of erotica/romance at Wiscon and elsewhere, particularly in conjunctions with controversies (e.g. whether libraries should have her books, whether her books were positive depictions of sexuality, whether issues of race were handled responsibly, etc). Definitely not Zane's best.
This was one of those titles where you could really tell that her propulsion into a household name in urban fiction was fueled by her erotica, but overshadowed her actual storytelling abilities. I say that because a perfectly great telling was repeatedly interrupted with an unnecessary sexual statement at times as though she were thinking, "well, I am Zane, I better throw an erotic phrase in here right quick" It wasn't always necessary.

Skyscraper by Zane is a very interestin book. It is about wolfe industries and all the crazy stuff that goes on in the buileding. The founder and CEO of wolfe industries is Tomalis Wolfe.
The book is mostly about all the afairs tht go on in wolfe industries. Almost every one in the office has an affair with another co worker.

I liked this book. I've read quite a few of Zane's books and I'm not a huge fan of hers but after reading the reviews about this book I thought this book really wasn't going to be something I was interested in, especially since this book started off really slow. Would I recommend this book? No I wouldn't put this book on the top of your to read list but it definitely was good after it got going. But just like a lot of Zane's books the back cover leads me to believe that something spectacular is...more

Skyscraper by Zane was a very touching book because in this book someone dies and at the time that I read this book my aunt Missy was dieing. This book made me feel so much better about my Aunt's death. The person that died in the book was very close to one of the characters in the book and when he died his heart was broken. After his death some how he found some strength from his best friends death and was able to move on.

This has to be my all time favorite book. I love Zane and she definitly out did herself with this book. It had me laughing so hard and the ending was amazing. Its a great book and it has everything a reader wants. Love, scandle, lust, pain, humor, its surreal. Loved it!!!
Great story. It was a fast read and I loved that Zane kept me interested and there was no lull in the read. LOVE, love love the ending. Does make you think about things you do and the consequences brought on. Sexy sex in the story.

Really good Story, but some of the so called up standing, African American women are not teh best example of the way we should be in Corporate america, and that fact really saddened me. But the corporations owner was wonderful!
Skyscraper is absolutely hilarious. A huge office orgy, if you ask me lol. It just goes to show that even the most business-savvy people can be the freakiest and most deceiving. I liked this book alot though
It was an ok read to pass the time with, but not as good as the other zane books I read. The bounus section of the book, however was great. The short story about the woman who ran away made me cry.
What a wonderful read!!! I thought this was a typical Zane book but it shocked me all the way through!! Defintely a page turner and will definitely read again.
I really enjoyed this book. It is narrated by four people. I was doubting reading another Zane book, but after reading this one, I think I might read more. Riveting plot and a beautiful ending!
This book is so good! Even though its about nasty stuff its still funny, but this is more like a adult book. I finished it in 4 days.
I expected more out of this book. It was a good book to pass the time. It was an interesting look into Corporate America.
One of the first books I have read from Zane. This is my favorite. Enjoyed it the whole book and had a good laugh too.

I really enjoyed this book!!! It kept me excited all the way through. Another smash by the most popular Zane!
I really like that Zane breaks up the story by telling several characters point of view.
