Sure, everyone does it; but everyone tries to hide it a little differently. Farts: A Spotter's Guide will help you pinpoint he (or she) who dealt it every time. This hilarious book identifies the habitat, range, voice, and "field marks" of tencommon wind breakers, from the gentle hiss of the Silent-but-Deadly to the rip-roaring flatulation of the Seismic Blast. Schoolboy humour *sniff*. Something you might think a snot-nosed 9 year old or spotty adolescent male peer-bonding with his mates or even a grown male, a boyfriend (*but not a husband) might really enjoy for a gag gift. *Not a husband because breaking wind in public loudly and with clouds of sulphurous pong is Not Allowed by wives.

So naturally I didn't appreciate the accurate descriptions of ten different kinds of flatulence accompanied by pitch-perfect renditions of the same. Extremely juveni...more

Whatever, I don't care about this book, I just wanted to tell you that I'm too busy writing a goddam NANOWRIMO NOVELthis month to read any books, that's why I haven't reviewed anything in a while. My NANOWRIMO NOVEL is thinly-veiled autobiography, just like all nanowrimo novels. The working title is VEGANISM AND HEROIN. I'll keep you posted.

Also, this book here is a ten-page board book that lists ten kinds of farts, with a little battery speaker thing with ten buttons that tells you what they so...more

Received as a Christmas present. It makes noises - awful- hysterical- icky noises. I had to make a special shelf to file this book on since all my other books are so serious... "bathroom humor." Yes, thats sounds right, "bathroom humor" will be the shelf. After all, we do keep the book in the bathroom so when you "play" with the book the people outside the door have to wonder if they should go in after you.

I'm not gonna lie--farts are always funny. This is a book that generates the audio of all 10 types of farts that it describes in its few pages. Yes, Jess and I laughed out loud multiple times during and after the farty sounds coming from the book in our hands. It is spectacular.

Rating: PG, 'cause it's farts.

So I found this on a bookshelf at a house I was staying at in Illinois, and I was extremely disappointed that the sound part of the book didn't work due to weak batteries. Ironically, this book was sitting next a bunch of Bible commentaries. The owner was obviously a well-rounded man.

I highly recommend this book. This author had me laughing until my side hurt, and then I laughed some more. This is a must have, and the sound just make it all the better.

My grandma bought this book and I borrowed it from her. This has to be THE FUNNIEST BOOK I've read yet. And so far my favorite is 9- The long goodbye.

My - what a way to embarrass oneself.
Let your son pick up the book to read, hand it to you after pressing the button (#9), while you walk down the isle. See if your cheeks turn red.
