"We don't know what the future holds but we know who holds the future". I've been a Christian for awhile now, and had forgotten so many of the special moments and hard decisions that I had to make once I gave my life completely over to the Lord. It may sound funny sometimes when I try to explain my decision to surrender control of my life and give it over to the Master but I have no regrets. Please don't judge Nancy's book by its cover; this story is so much more intriguing than what y More...

his book wasn't what I thought it would be, but was great anyways. Based on the front and back covers I was expecting a story about a man who displayed the sign John 3:16 in the stands of a football games and the way it affected people who saw it. While a sign does get shown at a football game and peoples lives are changed, it just didn't happen the way I thought it was going too.[return][return]The book keep me wondering what was going to happen next and how the characters were going to find More...

This story is really about the power of God’s word, sharper than a double edge sword. With an ensemble cast larger than most novels, John 3:16 encompasses many lives and their intersection. What I loved about this book was even with many different and varying characters, they all played a part in each other’s lives. Some interaction was major, most minor, but each played a role in each other’s lives. You would think in a story with so many lead characters, it would become confusing, but I was ne More...

I've enjoyed this book. I really liked the way the characters were woven throughout the book. I am finding that life is very much that way.

I only had one complaint about the book. I had wished in the end that a situation hadn't changed...again...with one of the characters. I won't spoil it in case you want to read it...but sometimes I would like to see a very painful and difficult situation left with the healing of God...not with getting what we wanted in the first place. God is More...

I really liked this book. There was no deep plot and no unexpected twists. In fact, most of the book was very predictable. But Nancy Moser did a great job with the characters and it was a great feel good book. If you want an easy read that will touch your heart and lift your spirits, then you can't go wrong with this book. Oh yeah, John 3:16 everybody.

This book is "in your face" Christian and not ashamed of it. It's an interesting novel about a number of people whose lives are drastically changed. The big change doesn't take place until very late in the book--there is a whole lot of "lead-up" before that moment. It was a very moving story, but not a "downer." B+. 02/07/08

No surprises here.

How does everything suddenly go from okay to despair? For so many people? Even our acting for the good of another, could cause despair in the lives of others.

Roman lives football vicariously through his son Billy (William). He isn't happy with Billy's choices.

Velvet's past choices collide with the present.

Lianne is faced with new choices.

Peter might not get a choice at all.

How much thought went into More...

Writing style wasn't incredibly smooth... but I really liked the journey. It's a story of allowing the promises of John 3:16 to change who we are... I liked it. Prompts you to look at your own life and ask the question... Do I really believe it?

This book has a HAPPY ENDING. I find stories about God making something wonderful out of our sin to be so encouraging. Probably because I so often fail Him. The book is somewhat hokey in places so I'm giving it only 3 stars.

Not one of my favorites by Moser. Really enjoyed her books Time Lottery, Second Time Around and The Seat Beside Me. This one didn't really grab me though. I kept reading as I wanted to find out what happened to the characters.

This is the January pick for book club. I think I am getting to far ahead, so it is good the picks end at January.

I really enjoyed this book a lot, it was quick and interesting reading...I read it on my weekend trip to Niagara Falls, returning with just half a chapter and the epilogue to go. I finished those quickly upon my return home.

Good story...somewhat implausible interweaving of characters and one plot "twist" too many. But still, lots of food for thought and enjoyable read!
