Extremely thorough while also extremely concise

I use this book to supplement my Chinese language learning via reading novels. It does a great job of explaining grammatical patterns, both common and uncommon, in a clear and concise manner. With each piece of information the author provides, around 5-10 examples follow it to help you understand. Sometimes the explanations can be very technical but the examples help clear up any doubts. This book provides a very clear explanation of Chinese grammar with a descriptive approach to the everyday use of the language. The examples are complete with pinyin and literal translation for easy understanding.

I think this to be a very useful Chinese grammar. Unfortunately, I didn't know enough Chinese characters yet to be able to use it. I will definitely read this book again!
