Maybe it was the translation. I didn't enjoy the writing at all. Ernestina Sodi tells the story of her kidnapping, along with one of her sisters, in Mexico. She is a writer, who comes from a well-known family, with both an actress and a famous and wealthy Mexican singer. I suppose being kidnapped and held for ransom is pretty dramatic, but the writing was melodramatic and banal. This is a true story of two sister that get kidnapp and they evil time they go through. This was the most famous kinapping in Mexico's. Sorry to say it does not make Mexico look very good. I would have to think twice before going there.
