If you went to small world, could you live there? And why?
No, I probably could not. This is because small people eat small things to eat, so I could not stand.
5. In fact, I cannot find out this book on goodreads.
This book is very interesting to boys. You might think you want to travel on ship. It is a very famous story. Therefore, you should read it once if you do...more

Gulliver's story is told in side by side views of his real life adventure in the bathtub and his imagined trip on a pirate ship. This would make a nice pairing with Not a Box, and could be used in a storytime setting, especially with an imagination theme.

I liked this book and the illustrations...but the boy dripping wet climbing up an electric floor lamp...yikes...(though it appears that the lamp isn't on)...still, that spoiled the fun for me a bit...

Great creative storyline accompanied by colorfully vivid illustrations about a young boy's imagination of mariner adventures while taking a bath before bedtime! A definite before bedtime read for families.

Awesome little book. The pictures are awesome and the imaginative story put us in our own creative little world as we laughed much as Gulliver Snip rode his clipper ship that his mother called a bathtub.

Gulliver pretends that he is on a clipper ship while he is really in the bathtub. The illustrations show both what is actually happening and what Gulliver imagines.

So much fun! It's a great book for boys, but girls will love it too. (Also, I know the author. Her husband went to Kellogg with my husband. She's amazing!)

My brother's roommate's wife wrote this. The boys loved it...especially since they had just gotten out of the bathtub!

Such a cute story, and the pictures are just incredible. A perfect read for my imaginative little boys.

I love this book. This is the author/illustrator's first children's book and it's amazing. Gulliver's imagination runs wild while he is in his clipper ship, that his mother calls it the bathtub. His reality is rather drab where his alternate world is brightly colored. The juxtaposition of the two worlds is so well done. The boy's movements in the bathtub closley mimick his fantasy. The colors for the fantasy world are also drawn from Gulliver's real world. This would definitely work for storytim...more

The bathtub can be a great place for imaginary adventures. In this swashbuckling adventure story, Gulliver Snip imagines that his bathtub is a pirate ship. The rhyming text tells the tale of Gulliver's adventures while the illustrations show what Gulliver is imagining as well as what is really happening in the bathroom...and the hall...and the den. A perfect pre-school read.

i liked it for the two faceted pretend/reality aspect---boy pretends the tub is a ship. steve didn't like it because it shows the boy trashing the bathroom, riding a suitcase down the stairs and hanging from a light before mom shows up in the book. sounds like normal parenting to me. sarcasm.

This is a really fun book about a little boy who has great adventures in the bathtub. A friend of mine wrote this and I am so impressed with her first published book!
Dawn
A very imaginative story. It would be a good read aloud with a lead in to writing about everyday objects.
