Massie Block: When the Pretty Committee deems its boy-fast null and void, boy fever sweeps through BOCD. What better way to backhandspring into new crush Dempsey's heart-and make old crush Derrington jealous-than cheer for him on the soccer field? And just like that, Massie forms BOCD's first-ever cheerleading squad. But will Massie still have something to cheer about when ...more

ugh, i know that these books are like really superficial and stuff but i find them truly hilarious because these girls are so incredibly over the top and so incredibly snobby that it makes me laugh out loud, so i can't wait for the next one!
The next book in the clique series, the leader of the pretty Committee,Massie Block is faced with some major challenges this year. The 5 of them have gone through some tough times and now it seems even tougher. Some one is with Derrington,or Derrick,Massie's ex. This turns out to be Dylan and Alicia is the one to see them together. Alicia hangs it over Dylan's head for some good gossip points, while Dylan waits to be found out, wishing Massie would release her hold on him. Dylan knows that Massie ne ...more

Yeah so..I think a bunch of stuff that happened in this book is really dumb. Like how instead of Massie&Claire's was Massie&Kristen*Dylan's thoughts..and that Dylan got Derrington..soooo messed up.

Probably in almost every school there’s always a group of people who may be better known amongst the students of their school or in other words popular. At Briarwood-Octavian Country Day School, the Pretty Committee would be that group of people. Massie Block, Kristen Gregory, Dylan Marvil, Alicia Rivera, and Claire Lyons who’ve always stayed on top even when there were obstacles, so what will happen when Alicia decides that she wants to be the leader of the Pretty Committee and not Massie? Or w ...more

PS. I Loath You, is the tenth book of the clique series. Unlike other books dealing with pointless and tacky comebacks and climbing their social status, this time the plot is more realistic and had grabbed my attention. The character named Massie has been the leader of the clique for long period of time but happens if her friends are of sick of it? As she enjoys controlling others, she abuses her power. She uses her friends just to steal the spotlight in cheerleading and to stop them to not sur

The Pretty Committee has officially ended its boy-fast, and Massie Block is crushing her way into Dempsey Solomon's heart. What she has to do urgently is make her ex jealous. Just to make matters worse, one of Massie's BFFs starts crushing on Derrington, (Derrick Herrington) her ex. And she also finds out that LBR (Loser Beyond Repair) Layne Abeley, is crushing on that same guy. Things start getting really messed up while the PC is lovesick. So, to make sure that she is the one that wins Dempsey ...more

One book, and three mentions of Gossip Girl (the TV series, that is) already. Considering it’s become one of my favorite shows, I was too surprised and easily amused. Here are the lines:

1. Chace? Penn? (Which refers to the actors who play Nate Archibald, and Dan Humphrey.)

2. The mention of Leighton Meester (playing Blair Waldorf) and how she was born in jail. (Although I’m not sure whether this is a fact or not because I thought I read in an interview that she said those were just rumors that m

But she can't shake her old crush Derrick because if she doesn't have a shot with her new one she wouldn't be able to fall back on him, but he has been rumored to be seen with a new girl. This is probably one of my favorite Clique books so far. While most of the books had the problem totally resolved in the end (or mostly), this one left it open. Out of all of them, I as most excited to see what happened in the next book after this one. I also like how they used a lot more pop culture references in their similes and metaphors and in general speaking. Overall, it kept my attention, kept my guessing and I really liked it.

This book was average just like all the other Clique books. The only difference was the ending, which I think was much better and more intriguing than most of the other books endings. SO MUCH happened in that last 1-3 chapters and it shows a lot of character development (or is it un-developing?) of Massie. You find out a lot more of why she is the way she is and I think that is pretty cool. I found her the least relatable of all the Pretty Committee girls because 1. I share much more common inte ...more

I originally started this series in middle school and really enjoyed it then. I have to say, now it still holds a special place in my heart. I can't claim that it's quite as engaging as it was back then, but even after so many years the dialogue and plot lines are still entertaining. I liked this installment because it shows that Massie has a vulnerable side. She is not as all-powerful as she likes to appear but is really broken inside about her perceptions of the world and in the way she views ...more

P.S. I Loathe You by Lisi Harrison is yet another addition to the Clique Series. I honestly couldn't put the book down. Being my age, I should be out hanging with friends, doing chores, or even finishing homework but I spent my whole Saturday reading P.S. I Loathe You. From the time I woke up until dinner was ready I was reading. I have not come face to face with a Clique book that I believe was "bad writing or unrelateable", especially this addition.

P.S. I Loathe You is a book about five girls
Once again, I do NOT care that these are aimed at young teens. I started reading them several summers ago when I was in the hospital, and got hooked. I get each one from the library as soon as it comes out. They're pretty dang addicting.

In this book Alicia went from loyal to not loal. for example in the beginning of the book Alicia would do everything she said and would listen to her. Now she has made her on group called the Soul-M8s she also, went off and made her on cheerleading squad and didnt ask her. the rest of her group except Claire went with Alicia for their own reason like Dylan. Dylan couldnt get Massie to free Derrik Massies ex-boyfriend. Kristen took Massies crush even though both of her friends liked him but he lik ...more

When Massie declares the boyfast is over, Claire returns to being a happy couple with Cam, sharing gummy worms and lip kissing. Josh and Alicia become an official couple, and Dylan develops a new crush on.. DERRINGTON. Or should I say, Derrick. But the problem is. Massie already marked him hers and hadn't washed his mark. She has a crush on Dempsey now... The USED TO BE LBR! Dune is finally back from the no cellular service island, and Kristen WAS so happy.. Until Massie finds out she is good fr ...more
Personally, I'm a cat person so if Massie came in My house with that b*tch (technically Bean is one since she's a female dog), I would've jumped the girl. Greased up, ponytail, weave 'n knee! The girl tried it ... and she did not succeed. You don't go up in someone else's house and start bossin' THEM around. Ain't nobody got time for that. They had the courtesy to invite you their home. THAT AIN'T RIGHT!

Hey, Mass guess what: Derrick isn't into you anymore. Believe it or not, not everyone gives a
I personally loved this book and the series. Massie Block is the "alpha" of her clique at school. Everything seems to be going great until her friends abandon her. Everyone seems to have their own lives and the clique is falling apart. Without her friends, Massie is nothing. The school wouldn't fear her anymore. I feel like this book talks about the insecurity every girl feels at some point of middle school or high school. You have to hurt people people to feel safe, and being around your "cool" ...more

Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen are all out scouting for boys at what was now a boy AND girl school except for Claire, who already has one.

After the Pretty Committee’s boyfast totally failed, they are no BFFWC (BFFs with crushes). Claire is finally secure in her relationship with Cam as is Alicia with Josh. Dylan is C-minus (without a crush), and Massie has an unrequited crush on Dempsey who LBR Layne likes as well. Claire is BFFs with Layne as is Kristen except she keeps their relationship a secret claiming it’s to protect their secret Witty Committee. Kristen finds herself torn as she promised to help both of them get Dempsey. M ...more
In this trimester I read the book "P.S. I Loathe You" by Lisi Harrison. It is the one of the Clique books and I believe it is the 8th in the series or 9th in the series. It takes place in Westchester, New York where Massie Block, Claire Lyons, Alicia Rivera, Dylan Marvil, Kristen Gregory and Layne Abeley live. These girls are all friends in one way or another even though in some ways they all hate each other. Whether its envying each other or just flat out hating each other they all end up spen ...more

Massie Block's new crush Dempsey had just joined the soccer team and all Massie wants to do is to cheer for him during the soccer game. So Massie decides to from BCOD's first cheerleading squad. Massie didn't have anything to cheer about when LRB (loser beyond repair) Layne started flirting with Dempsey. Everyone in the Pretty Committee knew that Massie had "marked" Derrington and that no one belongs to him as long as Massie didn't unmark him but Massie won't be happy if she figures out that on ...more

here's more of my updating status since I didn't have enough room:

as I was saying, Dylan should not have Derrington (Derrick Harrington) because Massie already sprayed him with her perfume and that means her is hers until she sprays him with water. Now Kristen, actually SECRET BEST FRIENDS with the LBR Layne Abeley, is just freaky. How dare she go against Massie BEHIND HER BACK! Kristen is just not good for Layne. Claire is because they are sort of similar. Speaking of Claire, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO

P.S I Loathe You by Lisi Harrison was a charming story about a group of friends getting over kind of some bumps in the road. It's sort of a typical high school story you would see in a movie or something. It was memorable to me since I'm in high school myself and I really enjoyed reading this book. The problems expressed in this book, are similar to things people go through but it's more extravagant and way more enjoyable when it's not happening to you.

The Pretty Committee is back, and they are far from love and friendship. In fact, it seems like the more and more they are together, the more they just can't stand each other.

The only thing that is more unstable than their friendship are the boys in their lives.

To cut it short, Massie has moved on to another soccer player, Dempsey, who just so happens to be great friends with Layne. Even though Massie says she's over Derrington
