Gah, I don't know why I keep hurting myself and reading anthologies!
To be honest, the only novella in this book that I read from beginning to end was 'Southern Heat' by Beth Williamson, and I didn't like it. It was one of those Cinderella-inspired stories, with the orphaned heroine being sent to live with her absent uncle, abusive aunt and idiot cousin, and I usually don't have a problem with stories with a fairy tale setup, but this one didn't work for me and the author failed to make me buy th...more

There were one or two stories that were ok. I love anthologies, and I'm fine with super short stories. But they have to be really well written when they're this short. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Love didn't really play a role in these stories, and the majority weren't even very erotic.

The writing in this collection of erotic stories was pretty bad. It was glorified romance novel writing, all flowery language and romanticized plots. The writing was just as bad as the writing in the Penthouse Letters series, but not nearly as hot.
Seems like at least half the stories referred to one or more nipples being laved. I've never even heard anyone use the word "lave" in normal speech. Does anyone even say that word? I was about to scream if I had to read it one more time.
