Some colorful, furry monsters dress as witches to go trick-or-treating.

Cuteness and confusion follow.

Children (and Elmo) will undoubtedly be tickled.

BUT...

You gotta wonder just what kind of treat they were expecting when they knocked on Oscar's trash can...

Holy cow, I think I've read this one about a 1,000 times. I finally hid it under a pile of books. It's a fine Sesame Street Halloween book, and my three year old loves it. I just needed a break from "which witch is which?" I was starting to feel like Oscar. I'm sure by next Halloween I'll be happily reading this one again.

The kids thought this story was super cute. None of them are a fan of Elmo, so they were happy to see he was just background. All the kids, even my ten year old, loved Oscar's joke at the end. I have a feeling this will be a favorite for years to come. We may even use it as a language lesson next year.
