The second volume completely fulfills my expectations from the amazing first volume. The character of the cowardly lion is introduced and given incredible depth. The excitement and originality of the first volume seems to wear off here, as the focus of the story shifts from the spirit of adventure to the mysteries surrounding the unusual dog/weapon that causes the conflict in the story. While it's still entertaining in its own right, compared to the first volume, it is a bit of a let down.
