Recommends it for: children who are learning how to draw
Our girls love to draw and our oldest has been borrowing a lot of how-to-draw books from her elementary school library. Now our youngest is starting to borrow them, too. She brought this book home today and she and her sister had fun drawing all sorts of felines. It has a very busy format, with an almost overwhelming amount of narrative, but it offers lots of tips and techniques for drawing both realistic and cartoonish cats.

Dec 2011 update: Our girls have borrowed this book a couple of times.
