Muffet has long been one of my favorite coaches, having been a (mediocre) basketball player myself growing up, and having attended ND during the 2001 ND national championship season. The book is a quick read (I picked it up for a quick read during a 2 hour flight and had no problem finishing it in that time frame). It has some now outdated historical references to players in the time frame when the book was written, in the seasons after the national championship. However, it also contains good t ...more

Straightforward writing. Nothing overly complex but a great insight into some of the coaching strategies from one of the greats in women's basketball coaching. As a Notre Dame fan, it was fun to read the stories behind many of the events I remember watching the program through the seasons.
