Shelves: fiction
I was incredibly surprised how much I liked this book. I literally could not put it down and that, surprisingly, doesn't happen to me that often.

Even though the story seemed predictable at times there were usually a few things running through your mind to keep it interesting and Matheson REALLY keeps the narrative moving.

For those looking for ornate and intricate use of language, you may not like this book but for those looking for a fairly suspenseful story that doesn't seem to waste any words

Born in Allendale, New Jersey to Norwegian immigrant parents, Matheson was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1943.
