I wanted to like this more than I did, and if I was honest, I'd have this at 2 1/2.

An earlier book of Maillard's and the only of his that I've read that wasn't set in Raysburg. It was interesting to see the early versions of other characters of his in this book. He definitely has a few archetypes he explores in his fiction.

The book didn't come together well enough for me to be satisfied and I feel like there were connections between story lines that went over my head and consequently I didn't
