Cute -- but very short -- book about a family of rodents (they look a little small to be squirrels but their tails are too big for chipmunks) playing during a snow day. The little squirrel children eventually convince their parents to loosen up and have fun in the snow. At the end, everyone is happy. The art is delicate and adorable.

This is a cute and entertaining book about squirrels playing in the snow. I like that it shows how parents need to loosen up and play sometimes and we thought the ending was very funny. The illustrations are adorable and the narrative is short and fun to read aloud. We enjoyed reading this book together.

My oldest daughter loved this book when she was 3 years old. Now my second daughter (2 almost 3 years old) loves this book to. The story is simple - how a family of squirrels celebrate a big snow. The illustrations are engaging and lend themselves to storytelling beyond the text.

This reads really old school and more like a magazine story than a picture book to me.
