Read in January, 2007
Not only do I love this story but also the movie by Wong-Kar Wai based on the book is simply ridiculous. Read, then watch, then read again, then watch again, then thank me.

Probably Murakami's best short story not collected in The Elephant Vanishes. The movie disappointed - very stilted, with narration lifted straight from the text.
