I enjoyed this book, just as I have enjoyed all the Lora Leigh books I've read, but I've yet to read one of hers that thoroughly captured me. I guess it's just something about her writing that doesn't completely engage me in the stories.

Though this book is the eighth book in the Bound Hearts series, it can be read as a stand-alone with no problems. The characters are all new (as far as I can remember) and the basic premise of the series is easy to understand reading the beginning o More...

This took me awhile to get through for 2 reasons. (1) the character Mac was pissing me off! I felt he was forcing his wife into a ménage relationship without much discussion. So I quit, and re-read another book. (2) unrelated to book, see below.

While the book was definitely hot, and I'll certainly read Lora Leigh again, I had some difficulty especially in the beginning. In addition to Keiley's husband bothering me, I also found Keiley to be a little unbelievable. If Mac would s More...

YOWZA! Ragus, you were right. This novel is sizzling hot, and I enjoyed every page of it. Keiley marries Mac, a man known for being addicted to ménage with his friend Jethro. Mac leaves the FBI after they are married and moves to a farm in North Carolina, thinking, for the sake of his wife, he can leave his lust for ménage behind. But after three years he calls Jethro and invites him to come to the farm for a week to visit. And everything changes.

This was one of those HEA ménag More...

OK, so while the sex scenes were pretty amazingly hot, overall this is not my favorite erotic fiction/romance novel. Disclaimer though: I'm still considerably new to the genre but I'm pretty sure I can gauge what kind of novels I'll probably revisit in the future.

Short review Keiley is way, way, WAY too much of a pushover for me. I get that all three characters come from fractured pasts and have major baggage with them, but this chick...come on! Grow some balls or something. Maybe I'm More...

This is my first read by Lora Leigh and because I did not find it thoroughly engaging, I'm giving it a 3-star rating. It was, indeed, a fairly enjoyable read, it just lacked the depth that I look for in books.

What I liked most about the book was the bit of mystery and suspense that Leigh interweaves in the story. It held my interest to the end and even had me guessing who the guilty party might be. I also liked that the author showed the reader the angst each of the three main ch More...

This is my favorite book in the Bound Hearts series so far. It's very different from the previous books in the sense of the story. I liked the story, the mystery and suspense. The way the characters were described, delved into, and developed were really convincing. Lora Leigh brought the characters to life, she brought out their innermost desires, they were introduced accordingly and she certainly took time in telling the story - not that the pace was slow, but because the focus here is more of More...

What I like about Lora Leigh books is they go beyond the hot scenes with kinky fantasy guys - they have plots and characters and visual settings. This one has a well done stalker plot - although I'm not sure the bad guy's hiding place is very feasible.

The romance plot starts 3 years into a marriage where the hero has been treating the heroine like a 19th century maiden - very vanilla even though that is not his usual taste. Now he's bringing along his darker tastes [without discus More...

I can't get enough of Lora. Each of her book takes you on a ride worth being on. Five stars is not enough for me to give this book or any others of her's I have read, which have been a lot. Hot, Steamy, Yummy. Stimulating is not enough to describe. These books are not for children but people with open minds. The best, she gives the best!

4 stars - Romantic Suspense/Erotica/Menage

I love author Lora Leigh, and I had high expectations for this based on reviews I’ve read. Although I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as her Tempting SEALs and Elite Ops novels, it’s still a blistering hot read with plenty of angst and an uber-alpha male that’s typical of Leigh’s style. My biggest issue with this story is that I didn’t like either of the main characters or find their love/marriage at all believable. The female protagonist Keil More...

Cold shower anyone? The characters seemed a little unbelievable, but still a fun read.

Mac and Jethro have been partners at the FBI since their first day. But they are mor than just that. They are best friends and they enjoy sharing their girls. Mac is the emotional one who has the charm to lure the girls in. Jethro is dark and adds the thrill. The women of the DC men's club oogle over the pair and their powers in bed. But, when Jethro sets eyes on virgin and sweetness Keiley (not at the club obveously) he wants her and steers Mac towards her expecting a call for a third a few mon More...

This book featured hot sex, a decent stalker component, but fairly unbelievable players.

I found Keiley to be too compliant with her husband's sudden decision to spice up their marriage and fulfill his needs by adding a third, his best friend from the FBI. The two men were too perfect for my tastes, always staggeringly well endowed, equally "damaged" emotionally (always are damaged, aren't they?), and sexually insatiable and skilled.

But, for what it is, an erotic novel, it was a good re More...

OH wow this was a hot story it defiantly was steamy and a darn good read. I guessed who that bad guy was but that was only because he was the only other character that had access. The reveal was still good and I liked that there was the social scandal as well as the peril. I also liked that it depicted a small town with out small minds. I have not read the rest of this series but hope to very soon but this book does stand alone very well as there is no prior knowledge needed to understand all th More...

I don't read many "romance" novels, but this one was "hot, hot, hot"! It's not great "literature" but it's worth the read just for the "sex" scenes. Did I mention this was "hot"?
Seriously, it's written from a "female" perspective (which I guess is the perspective for most romance novels), but I would've preferred it not to have been written in the all-seeing 3rd person perspective. I would've preferred for the author to have writt More...

First read Feb 25, 2010.

Eighth in the Bound Hearts erotic romance series. A bit out of the main stream for this series, this story takes place on Mac's family farm in North Carolina.

The Story
Mac and Kei have been married a few years now. Just long enough for them to be a bit too comfortable. For Mac to miss the options available through the Sinclair Club. For Kei to start wondering more actively about the rumors she had heard about Mac. About Jethro. To wonder what it w More...

I read this while sitting on the beach with the Carribean waves lapping at my feet... A great beach read while on vacation alone with my hubby!

These books crack me up... The author almost can convince you that it's completely normal for two men and a woman to live together in a loving relationship. Ha!

It's ridiculously fun and total escapism, though.

However, I can't bring myself to rate these kind of books any more than a 3. They are just too trivial and si

Wow. 3.5 stars. This one is not for the fluff lovers. The story was okay, and so hard to deal with a character named Jethro, and not immediately picture a red-neck ignoramus. But if you are looking for something to accelerate global warming, wait until you hit chapter 8. And take my advise, do not read it if on lunch break at work.

Not her best as far as characters and plot and it does get a bit monotonous after a while but it was.... stimulating.

I've been a fan of Lora Leigh's work for years. She was on my 'always buy' list of authors. I enjoyed this book very much -- except for the fact that the book was badly in need of editing for spelling and grammatical errors. Though the mistakes were not as glaring in this book, they were there. And nothing can be more distracting than having to take the time to figure out what the author was trying to say because the book wasn't properly edited.

Scalding Hot.....Although the story line lost me at times, the passion gripped me and held on tight! Its a story about a marriage that is great but lacking in something. That something comes in the buff, hard-assed package of a friend that brings with him a world only fantasized about. A girl could get used to this kind of treatment. This story has all kinds of goodies such as betrayal, action, mystery, and hot hot lovin'.

This was my favorite of the Bound Hearts series. I think I've read 4 so far and this was the best story. Newly married Keiley and Mac. He used to be a member of this 3-some club and he's given it up for the last 3 years to be exclusively with his wife. By the way, the 3-some are 2 guys and a girl. Jethro used to be his 3rd and when she starts wanting to bring a spark back to their relations and asks about his past, he says she's opened up a pandora's box and now Jethro's coming to visit aft More...

In my next life I want to come back as one of Lora Leigh’s leading female characters. This is without a doubt the hottest book I’ve read to date. The whole stalker thing gave the story direction but in reality Lora could have used aliens and Sasquatches to move the story along and it wouldn’t have distracted from the sizzling “ménage” scenes. Definitely a read for the open minded!

Bound Heart series #8. This one is the story of ex FBI John Mac McCoy and Keiley Hardin McCoy. Mac married Keiley and they live on a farm. He's quit his old way (the club) but still wants it. Keiley sort of too. He invites his friend Jethro Riggs to visit and the 3 end up together. There is also a stalker involved.

I didn't like this book as much as some of the others.

I think I'm in love with Jethro Riggs. I love a tortured soul. I was a bit put off by the earlier book where Leigh had a set of twins falling in love with the same woman. But this I can handle. Although, the way she describes Jethro and Mac, you'd think they were twins just not from the same womb. I was also kind of tweaked by Keiley's place in the whole relationship. Yes she might have wanted the menage but I feel like she was forced in to this. But the story was saved because of the bac More...

(Shudder)It was so awful it was an absolute trainwreck. How many times can the author use the word menage? I simply cannot tolerate this Insert A into Slot B, add extra guy, repeat. There is absolutely no emotional connection in this novel. Once I finished it, I had to go read some Emma Holly to make myself feel better.

Holy hotness batman! This was a five out of five panty changer in my personal opinion. There were editing issues. Which is a shame. I really like Lora Leigh, but it seems this has become the norm in her books as of late, which is not good. In this book, they were not so bad as to distract from the story. The characters were likeable, which surprised me. I wasn't sure how I felt about a husband who insisted he needed a third in their relationship and brought in his best friend to fulfill that job More...
