This short biographical history was written by the great grandchild of one of the first eskimos to begin following Jesus. It is an interesting insider look at how the gospel was experienced for the first time by the peoples of Alaska.

Fred Savok goes to great lengths to tell you about the culture of the Eskimo and while tedious it is also quite interesting. I believe his second motivation is that this book would be a counterpoint to many stories of missionaries coming and doing violence to the c
