My thoughts on Noah are a little mixed, so I may be a bit scattered. I think that this whole series has been an interesting mix of an interesting plot, wait, no a fantastic plot, but with overly dramatic and repetitive writing. My main complaint through these 5 books have been the writing. It annoys the crap out of me. BUUUUT, the characters and plot more than make up for it. I mean I did read 5 books here! I must like something!

I hated that Rut...more

Oh, oh, oh. I'm still riding high after finishing "Noah" by Jacquelyn Frank, book five of her 'Nightwalkers' series. This series has everything I want in a paranormal romance/urban fantasy: mega-hot heroes, strong heroines, vampires, demons, and weres (Oh, my).

Kestra is a successful mercenary who uses her intelligence, agility, and highly trained body. She's also a woman who has suffered horrible loss and lives with survivor guilt every day. Until one evening, on a mission gone bad, she's saved...more

^^NOAH LET ME INTO YOUR ARK!^^

I am so in love with Jacquelyn Frank’s world of demons. I could read about them all day, and it would not be enough. I love how detailed everything is, and usually where I would be bored I am just revelling in it all.

Book 5 in the Nightwalkers series is by some extraordinary stuff, most will not agree because we expected the world from Noah. I am glad he was no extraordinary demon because it would have been too much. He was everything I wanted and more, though the...more

I loved all of these books and will add this series to one of my favs. It was a nice combination of everything.

I do have a few cons...It did have a tendency to be repetative with regards to Kestra's struggle to love Noah. Also, her background story with regards to her tragedy wasn't carried out well. For something so tragic as it was suppose to be, was not well served with a summary.

Also...the largest complaint is that I've heard that this was suppose to be the last book of the series. If this i...more

Terrific! Sensual and erotic with mystery and suspense combined!

Noah is coming to the edge of his sanity. As a demon, he feels deeply, and during the moon phase of Sahmain and Beltane, if the needs of a male demon aren’t met, his insanity grips the better part of him, making him do things he doesn’t want to do. Noah struggles with this more and more as the centuries go on, and for the past six months, he’s been dreaming of a wild woman who pushes him right to the brink of his sanity. He wants he...more

Noah was a good addition to the Nightwalkers series, but it was not my favorite out of the five books Jacquelyn Frank has published so far. She usually does a great job at having the two main characters fall in love slowly with reason yet keeps the rest of the story flowing in the background. I have long awaited for Noah to find his partner, but I thought that the way they fell in love was a tad bit sketchy. She does mention a long background between the two for 6 months (you will have to read i...more

Last (for now), but definitely not least, in the series is Noah. The Demon King has no intentions in claiming a mate, for his only goal is to protect his kind from their human and Nightwalker enemies. But for the past six months this has become more and more difficult for him. Not only have most of his friends found their significant others, but he has been having vivid dreams of a woman that has him on the brink of madness. When he finally gets the courage to go out of his way and find this mys...more

I loved Noah's story, it was really good, an excelent addition to the Nightwalkers series, but it was not my favorite.

I mean I loved it but I just was expecting a bit more. Maybe because I read somewhere that this was supposed to be the last book of the series, but it just can't be, I mean so many things need an ending; for example, what happened to Ruth? She wasn't even mentioned in this book. 4 previous books to develop her story and in the last one she doesn't appeared.

Also the book starts...more

Finally Noah gets an imprinted mate! The demon king has needed one for a long while now and I was so relieved for him that he finally found Kestra. However, Noah became a smaller version of himself because of his fear of losing her. Noah, for me, has always been larger than life - even more so than the others. By seeing Kestra's death - which he then circumvents to save her - he sort of folded in on himself to me. He withheld so many facets of his personality to not scare Kestra off that I wante...more

I have waited to read this since Jacob. There is still nothing better than Jacob. This was really good, although at times I felt like it seemed long and too detailed. Or maybe my mind kept going other places, distractions over riding my concentration. There were a few questions that were left unanswered or cleared up with Kestra. Nothing wrong with Noah's character and I feel for him. I was happy to see all other characters from other books in there and sad at some of the ways things left and wi...more

Noah, the true monarch and patriarch of the Nightwalker world, is definitely a favourite character of mine. I loved this book, and I loved watching Noah learn about himself and others, and grow as an individual. As the fifth instalment, I was a little taken aback by the different style in which it was written as compared to the other Nightwalker novels, but I quickly got over it. I loved the updates of "old" characters (which is no doubt why I really love series novels) and the introduction of t...more

I read this one second, after Jacob, since I could get my hands on it before the others. I was very much looking forward to his story, and for the most part was not disappointed. I found that it lacked a little spark that had been there in the first book of the series, Jacob. I think the problem I had, such as it was, was that I did not feel that Kestra was equal to Noah. I did not dislike her as a character, but I did not find she was enough for the Demon king. She did come into her own towards...more

Finally, Noah, the Demon King has found his mate. He just doesn’t know how to handle it. He has been dreaming of her for six months now, and he still doesn’t know her name. Every night she fights him again, until he persuades her with kisses and caresses and his superior strength, she cannot escape his arms. And those encounters are hot, but not enough.
Finally Noah searches out Corrine, the Druid mate of Kane. Corrine has the power to find the destined mates for the Demons, but so far, only thr...more

this book in my opinion was amazing. we really got to see a new side to Noah that while it had been hinted at we didnt really explore. now we do in this book :D i love the fact that Noah finally has someone to love with all his heart and soul. now he won't be left behind or left to sulk by his friends :D the story overall was touching and we find out a bit more about Noah's parents and get to know Noah's bonded mate. i love the fact that she's just as dangerous as any Nightwalker women and can t...more

After reading and reviewing almost all the books in the series (this is 5 out of 6 currently), I was probably anticipating this story the most. From book 1 - Jacob, I really liked King Noah the most out of all the characters thus far and I really wanted him to have a great HEA although by the middle of this book, I wanted to ring his ever loving neck and was wishing him to the bowels of Hades. To say Noah goes off the rails in the book is putting it mildly but let's just say that once he sets hi...more

I FORCED myself to finish this. This whole series was a drag for me. WAY,WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY,WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY,WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY,WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY,WAY,WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY TOO many details. Oh did I say that too much? Well that is how this series read to me. ARGH! I just wanted to scream. In fact I think I may have growled a time or two. This side stories and internal dialogue take FOREVER. The incessant details make the stories so long and so slow and put me to sleep.

This one was a mixed bag for me. If I rated it based on expectation, it would be 3 stars. If I rated it on individual plot direction, it would go lower. So I decided to rate it based on the level of personal enjoyment overall, put-down-ability, emotional manipulation, and plot advancement. When factoring these things only, I can comfortably settle at 4 stars and sleep well with the decision.

This five book journey began when I could no longer ignore the hype of the fan base for this series. I had...more

The book title isn't very creative, but it definitely makes it easier to identify which book it is in the series! Although this is book #5 in the series, this is the first one I've read thus far. Noah is king of a race of demons and his specialty is fire. This book's primary focus is on how he meets and gets along with his mate Kestra, who is a druid. She is smart and powerful in her own right, which is always a positive for me.

Noah makes some pretty serious mistakes throughout this novel, whic...more

She lost me the moment the hero used a child--a supposedly beloved niece--as a hostage. Nothing could redeem Noah, the demon king, in my eyes after that, no matter how crazy he was at the time. It is impossible for me to view him as hero material.

So disappointing, since I've enjoyed the rest of the series. Frank has created a novel world out of many common paranormal creatures: shapeshifters, vampires, demons, etc. The other heroes have been appealing, despite some paternalistic excesses. The ro...more

Noah is book 5 of the Nightwalker series and it's a good continuation of the story but I was slightly disappointed. I was expecting a much grander story for the Demon King and I've always loved Noah in the past books so I was really looking forward to the story.

Noah has been having vivid erotic dreams about a woman. He can't see her face or knows where she lives but he is silently tormented by her. He decides to seek the help of Corine, a Druid Matchmaker to see if she can help find his love. He...more

Noah, the King of the demons has always been in control of his powers, but lately he feels restless. Family and friends close to him found their mates and are settling down, but his need to find his mate is becoming almost unbearable. With Samhain just around the corner, Noah feels the need and he knows he is no exception to the rules. If he fails and cross the line, he knows he has to deal with his enforcers Jacob and Bella. But Noah cannot ignore the dreams he has lately of his mate, although...more

"Noah" is the fifth installment in Jacquelyn Frank's Nighwalker series. To me, it was the best book of the series so far. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has plenty of laughs and a couple of tear-jerker moments. The sexy-time here has got to be the hottest sexy-time of all the books so far!

"Noah" is a little separate from the rest of the series, I think. The Evil Bitch doesn't make any kind of appearance in this book at all. Its unusual because she has been the "Big Bad" probably since the se...more

I was really looking forward to Noah's book, but I was very disappointed. This series seems to be going quickly downhill. What started out as a very cool fantasy/paranormal romance series is quickly turning into your standard, no surprises paranormal romance. Ruth and Nico aren't in this book at all and as the main villains of the series, I don't know why they weren't. The plot of the rogue vampires did fit well considering what happened in the previous book, but it just didn't have enough impor...more

Finally the story of Noah!! “Noah” by Jacquelyn Frank, the fifth book in Nightwalkers series tell us the story of the Demon King himself.
The lonely king finds his mate. He has lived so many centuries without a passionate love and now it’s time! For the last six months he has been dreaming a mysterious woman and he knew that she is the one for him. Although he was famous about his stoicism and his sanity, he reaches to a point that he can’t stand his loneliness anymore. Because of that, he made s...more

It's been an interesting journey getting to Noah's book. And Noah, might I add, has a very large uh, book. It's massive in comparison to the other books (well over 100 pages more). So in that massive amount of space we revisit our old pals Gideon and Legna (and baby Seth), Damien and Syreena (working hard on making on baby), Elijah and Siena (but she's present only once I think and the couple are petrified of having babies) and Jacob and Isabella (and Leah, Noah's ♥), with an important appear...more

I loved Noah in this book. We finally get to see that he is not always in control of himself or his feelings. That even though he is very logical most times that he can still be ruled by his emotions. I loved how Kestra was a very strong willed woman with not only military/mercenary background, but also an education in proper etiquitte. Afterall a woman for a king must be able to be lady like as well as independent. She was a perfect fit Noah. Don't get me wrong she definitely get on my nerves a...more

This is an apt image. Noah, the Demon King, a Fire Demon over 700 years old, has watched those around him fall under the spell of the Imprinting. He's happy for them but also longs for his own mate.

In this book, he finally gets what he's been wishing for.

Of course, it can't all be flowers and chocolates, and Jacquelyn Frank delivers yet another riveting example of her masterful story telling. Noah's mate is much like the other women in this series - strong, powerful and perfectly matched to th...more

For the past six months, Noah, the Demon King, has had difficulty keeping his darker and "baser" instincts under control, plagued by tantalizing and incredibly real dreams of the woman clearly destined to be his mate. But if she fights him even in his dreams, he can only suspect the fight she'll put up in real life.

Kestra Irons is living her life on the edge, trying to purge her deep-rooted fears with deadly stunts. Yet one day, the Grim Reaper is waiting and her life is extinguished with a sing...more
